Our model captures JAH 553D, as it moved within the group when working for Stagecoach East. Numbered in the group as 19953, it is featured working route 128 to Cambridge. This vehicle has now lovingly been restored into Tilling red and cream livery.

29636 - Leyland Olympian - Stagecoach Preston

With the acquisition of Preston Bus, Stagecoach retained the blue and cream livery, adding their fleet name branding. G35 OCK was given a new fleet number of 14545 and has been captured here working route 119 to Royal Preston Hospital, carrying adverts for the Preston and Leyland Reporter newspaper.

16231 - Bristol LS Coach - Eastern Counties 

This coach bodied LS, registered PNN 774, first entered service with Mansfield District, subsequently moving on to join the Eastern Counties fleet. Numbered LE998, our model is depicting this coach whilst it was operating on service 207.

25815 - Leyland Fleetline - Yellow Buses Bournemouth 

Ex London DMS 2045, looks good in the bright Bournemouth Yellow Buses livery. These DMS buses were used on specific routes and fleet number 530, registered OUC 45R, is on one such route W2 to Bournemouth Square, whilst sporting advertisements for Panasonic and Worthington Beer.

30608 - AEC Renown - Tynemouth 

This AEC Renown registered GAT 817D was originally operated by East Yorkshire. On joining the Tynemouth fleet it was numbered 330 and in the attractive, maroon and cream colours it is working route 3 to Cullercoats, while displaying adverts for Real English cheese.

Our model depicts one such Routemaster, RM 59, registered VLT 59, as it would have appeared in the first few weeks in service as a Shop Linker. 16016 - Leyland PD2 Lowbridge - Todmorden / British Rail

This Lowbridge Leyland PD2 would have taken in some beautiful scenery whilst on route to Keighley. Jointly owned by Todmorden and British Railways fleet number 3 registered GWW 39 carries a period advert for Webster’s Brewery of Halifax.

26330 - Guy Arab II Utility - Plymouth City WWII

Plymouth was one of the most heavily bombed U.K. City’s of World War two, with so much destruction there were few landmarks left for the buses to head for. This Guy Arab Utility, registered CDR 679, fleet number 249 works route 22 to Theatre, one of the few recognisable buildings left.

The Airport Routemasters ran a unique service between Heathrow and West London, operated originally by B.E.A. then becoming part of British Airways. Registration number KGJ 610D is depicted at the time of this change over period.

At the time other operators began working the London bus routes a mass of liveries appeared on the streets of the capital. The attractive colours of Hong Kong Citybus was retained by First on fleet number 782, registered N982 EHJ as it ran route 645 to Chingford Station.
