E16540 - Atlantean - Ribble Motor Services

A new release from our Exclusive First Editions range is a Leyland Atlantean in Ribble livery E16540. Announced at this year's Press Day, the model is due to be released later this year. 

Ribble Motor Services began operating in 1919 and grew to be one of the largest bus and coach operators in the North West of England, with a territory covering Cumberland, Westmorland, Lancashire and parts of North Yorkshire.
This Leyland Atlantean with Metro-Cammell body first entered passenger service with Ribble in 1960 and is shown carrying the smart dark red and cream pre-nationalisation livery. After the ownership passed to the National Bus Company, Ribble retained this darker red for a while before moving to the standard NBC poppy red and white. Our model is registered NCK 634, fleet number 1645 and is shown running on service 101 to Preston.

We are pleased to announce a new model in our recently acquired Exclusive First Editions range. As seen at Victoria Coach Station last weekend, E31515 is an AEC RM Routemaster in London Transport livery.

Our latest depiction of one of London's iconic Routemasters is RM177, shown operating out of London's New cross garage (NX) which is said to be one of London's biggest garages. Registered VLT 177 and shown working on route 177 to Abbey Wood via Elephant and castle, New cross, Greenwich and Woolwich, whilst displaying Pan Am advertising 'Take a breath of fresh airways'.

EFE Upcoming Releases - Amendment to 38124

As many of you may already be aware, there is a problem with our recently announced Durham District VRT.  The model was prepared from information sent in to us which at the time we believed to be genuine, subsequently we have found the vehicle to have been fictitious and the reference image to have been expertly photoshopped, now don't we feel silly! We hold our hands up to our mistake, thankfully we've been able to alter the model before the production run had started which means it will now become a United Counties VRT1.

EFE Pre Production Update: 29631 Olympian Metrobus

It has been kindly brought to our attention that the pre-production model of 29631 an Olympian in the Metrobus livery, shown on our May Order Form and Upcoming Releases post, was displaying the wrong logos for the livery we have chosen. Thankfully we have been able to amend the model before production and can now show you the revised sample and new details.
